A friend named Shell writes on December 3rd to request prayer for her brother-in-law, Gary, who fell from his tree stand, resulting in a serious spinal cord injury. He has been through a lengthy surgery, but has a long road ahead of him. Pray for God's special healing touch on Gary's body, and on the spirits of him and his loved ones.
Barb (Borham) Dennis phoned Friday morning, 10/16/2009, to request prayer on behalf of her brother's son Donovan, who has been taken to Children's Hospital in Columbus. He is said to be quite ill with the H1N1 influenza virus (sometimes called "swine flu"). Let's lift this 15-year-old boy's name to the Lord's mercy seat, and ask His favor for the rest of the family as well.
A Marion woman has just taken steps to end an abusive relationship and pursue legal action against her abuser. Meanwhile, she has several young children, and is expecting another. Please pray for this young woman as she attempts to get her life back in order, that she will make wise decisions, that she and her children will be kept safe, and that they all come to understand God's love for them and His plan for their lives.

Crystal asks that we pray for God to intervene and that the truth will come out. Though Crystal's location is unknown to us, we know that our great and awesome God knows exactly where she is, and He knows the truth. May He reveal it clearly to all, and may His name be lifted up as the Way, the Truth, and the Life!

Now that the voters have made their decisions, it is important to remember the admonitions of the New Testament to pray for our leaders. No matter their political philosophies or ours, the responsibilities placed on those in leadership are too much to bear without the assistance of Almighty God. May they always hear His voice. May they always obey. May we always encourage them in the right direction, and may God always bless America. May America bless God.
Please pray for longtime friends of Pastor Dan's, Sam and Dee, from Texas, and their family. Sam has been very ill for quite some time. Now their son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Cheryl, have been in a terrible auto accident, on Thursday, October 30th, in Memphis, Tennessee, and are both in very bad shape. Family from various states are en route to provide support, but we know that God is already on the scene. Please ask Him to provide His peace that surpasses all understanding. He knows what these dear folks need; please ask Him to provide it all and more right away. UPDATE 11/6: On top of all of this, Allen and Cheryl's two-month old granddaughter has suddenly contracted a bacterial infection that may end her life. Their son Joey rushed to Memphis to be with his father, and upon returning home has now had to deal with the shock and sorrow of possibly losing one of his baby twins. As another friend wrote, "I ask you all, dear angels, to storm the Heavens so that God may grant relief to this family." UPDATE 11/11: Baby Navaya has made that last journey, and is in the arms of our Lord. Cheryl was discharged from the hospital, but soon afterward had to be readmitted. Plans are being made for her and Allen to be flown back to Texas, probably to the hospital at which Cheryl is a department chairperson. This family needs our prayers now, and obviously will for some time to come.
Lynda writes (10/14) to request prayer for a 32-year-old friend named Bryce, who has just learned that he has a rare form of cancer. She also has asked that we pray for her son David, who will be deploying to Afghanistan within a few days. David is married, 35, and has four children. Also pray for Lynda, who will be caring for her two oldest grandchildren for a while, and please continue to pray for all of our brave men and women in uniform.
